Dave Marut is a former business leader and mentor now living as a happily migratory writer. He is a native of Aurora, IL and a Midwesterner who always comes back home. His passions include paddling and exploring the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where he resides part of the year.

Dave's first novel, A Life Apart, debuted March 2026 and is available through major booksellers everywhere.

His short story collections include Probably Half Done, A Blue Collar Noose, and The Price of Time. Dave also is the creator of the children's illustrated series A Girl Named Honey. His second novel, Irreplaceable, is due for release near the end of 2026.
